On a more serious note: The mess in VIC could just as well happened in any other state.
Possibly… but probably not. If it is going to happen, it will happen in NSW due to the Vics who have successfully got into the State whilst infected. Send a message… Fine em $11K, isolate them and make them pay for the hotel they are placed into and then ship them back where they have to undertake a further 2 weeks monitored isolation at their expense. Give an average of what that will cost an individual (in the vicinity of $20K+) and I bet they stay at home.
sure, cannot force international travellers to get tested……but lets try and charge people for hotel quarantine… good luck with that

sure, cannot force international travellers to get tested…
Not sure about other states, but pretty sure anyone coming into NSW on an international flight has to go into mandatory hotel quarantine for 2 weeks where they are tested upon entry and again prior to be released. You refuse the testing… you stay for another 10 days AT YOUR EXPENSE. Maybe Vic should have adopted something similar.
They did (the 10 extra day thing).
Legally, cannot charge for incarceration.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

It’s not just the border, they are supposedly going to encircle Melb. We’d need another 50,000 coppers to do that.

Some slightly stronger restrictions in Vic due to COVID. It’s stopped VPGC from playing (unless we can get on at our home course at Southern) Not looking good for October, now that NSW are starting to get a few now.

Masters Champion 11/4/2022Some slightly stronger restrictions in Vic due to COVID. It’s stopped VPGC from playing (unless we can get on at our home course at Southern) Not looking good for October, now that NSW are starting to get a few now.
We will have to make a final decision in a months time

Hope I am wrong cause I’m really looking forward to catching up with all the L4G brethren at the Nats. But given that Premier Dan didn’t lift the lockdown restrictions without a fuss the first time, and he was in a better position then than now, after this stuff up and if they go to Level 4, I doubt the Vics will be travelling interstate before Xmas.
