Northbridge Golf Club on the North Shore is now host to Australia’s latest FootGolf course.

The sport, combining football and golf, is on steady rise worldwide, and even has its own association in Australia.

FootGolf Australia President Leonardo Fernandez said it was an exciting sport with something for everybody.

“Learning to play FootGolf to enjoy a social game is very easy even for people who don’t play football, making it a great sport to play with family and friends,” he said.

“There is also a competitive side of FootGolf, where the search for continuous improvement and to achieve the best possible performance drives FootGolf players to spend long hours practising different shots and talking about how to best read greens and fairways.”

The course is open seven days a week from 4pm with costs starting from $10 for nine holes and $15 for adults.
