The Longest Day golf marathon fundraiser
Attention Golf Clubs,

My name is Henry Peters and I’m a golf writer for Golf Victoria magazine and Inside Golf magazine. On Monday December 21, I’m taking part in The Longest Day golf marathon fundraiser, which challenges golfers to play 72 holes in one day to raise money for Cancer Council Victoria. Anybody from anywhere can play at his or her home club or course. All you need to do is book a tee time early on December 21, organise a team(s) of 2,3 or 4 and walk 72 holes in one day. Scoring is irrelevant, and we already have several clubs around the state taking part including a handful of the sandbelt clubs in Melbourne. For regional golf clubs, this could be a great opportunity to get coverage on WIN Television (where I also work casually), which I could help to arrange.
